Representatives
of the Township of Hardyston and the Borough of Franklin continue
to meet on a monthly basis to discuss additional opportunities
for shared service and to explore ways to improve existing shared
service agreement.
Since July 2000 the Township and Borough of Franklin have operated
a joint tax collection office out of the Franklin Municipal
Building located on Main Street in the Borough.
Recently the joint tax collection office installed a secure
drop box in front of the Franklin Municipal Building. The box
can be utilized by Township and Borough residents to drop off
tax payments after hours and on weekends.
Hardyston
residents can now pay their taxes electronically through Official
Payments Corporation.
( A small service charge is added to each electronic payment.)
Credit card tax payments can also be made via telephone
by contacting Official Payments at 1-800-272-9829. Jurisdiction
code is 4042..
